Ascent of the table mountain El Yunque

A rented car will take you from Baracoa to El Yunque campsite. You will ford the Duaba River and climb the slopes. First through cocoa plantations, then through secondary forest, to the top of the majestic table mountain El Yunque, to a height of 575 meters. The top of the mountain is covered with deep, impenetrable cracks and lush primary vegetation. You will enjoy a unique view of Baracoa Bay and the river mouths of the Toa and Duaba rivers. Upon your return, you may cool off in the crystal-clear water of the Duaba River.
